Die TESTING-Sparte der Automotive-Division hält ein komplettes Service-Portfolio und die notwendigen Kompetenzen bereit, um Produkte, die mit der Mobilität, Transporten und der individuellen Sicherheit in Zusammenhang stehen, entwickeln und zertifizieren zu können. 
 
Für die Zuverlässigkeit des gebotenen Services verbürgen sich die Akkreditierungen von ACCREDIA nach UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 (vollständiges Verzeichnis auf der Website www.accredia.it), die Anerkennungen der Verkehrsministerien Irlands, der Niederlande und Luxemburgs, des französischen Ministeriums für Produktionsaktivitäten sowie der Europäischen Gemeinschaft für den Bereich CE-Kennzeichnung.
 
Als Antwort auf die steigende Nachfrage nach Sicherheitsprüfungen einer breit gefächerten Auswahl an Produkten durch Labortests, hat sich CSI neben Spitzenstrukturen auch einen hoch spezialisierten und erfahrenen Personalstab zugelegt, um ein qualitativ optimales Ergebnis im Sinne der Zuverlässigkeit des Prüf- und Zertifizierungsdienstes gewährleisten zu können.
 
Die TESTING-Sparte prüft die Qualität und Sicherheit der unterschiedlichsten Produkte: von der Transportverpackung für gefährliche Güter, Erdgas- und Flüssiggasanlagen (ECE-Regelung R67 und R110, ISO 15500) über Fahrräder und Komponenten (UNI EN 14764, 14765, 14766, 14781, 14872) bis hin zu individuellen Schutzvorrichtungen.
 
 

Certification and testing on bikes and components


Services for cycles for manufacturers, importers and retailers
Tests according to ISO 4210 on fully assembled bicycles or specific components, CSI laboratories boast state-of-the-art equipment for the execution of all types of tests, also in order to comply with General product safety Directive 2001/95/EC, mandatory for the placing cycles and components on the market. The tests carried out on components regards saddle, frame, fork, wheels, pedals. The verification of conformity on fully assembled bicycles concern - City Bike - Mountain Bike (MTB) - Young children bike - Racing.
CSI also supports the customer in the preparation of the technical file.

Services for Electrically Power Assisted biCycle EPAC
CSI manages the complete process for obtaining compliance of bicycle EPAC, electrically power assisted cycles with a maximum speed of 25 km/h and with less than 250 watts of motor power, with machinery directive 2006/42/EC and EN 15194 standard. The verification of conformity on EPAC includes: mechanical safety requirements and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). CSI also supports the customer in the preparation of the technical file.

Homologation service for L-category vehicles and their systems
CSI is able to manage the complete type approval process for granting the homologation of the whole range (L1 to L7) of L-category vehicles with the Netherland Type Approval Authority (E4/e4). A particular focus is given to:
L1e-A “powered cycles”, designed to pedal and equipped with an auxiliary propulsion with the primary aim to aid pedalling. The propulsion should be limited at a speed of 25 km/h and its maximum continuous rated power should not exceed 1000 W.
L1e-B “mopeds”, vehicles with a maximum design speed of more than 25 km/h and up to 45 km/h and a maximum continuous rated power of in between 1000 W and 4000 W.

• Reg. EU 168/2013 as last amended by Reg. EU 2019/129 on the approval and market surveillance of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles.

Why CSI
CSI offers services of physical and virtual experimentation combined with engineering evaluations for assessing the product performance. Its laboratories are equipped with specific test benches and equipment to verify compliance with the standards ISO 4210/8098 and EN 15194 - in terms of safety on bicycles.
