Development of Euro NCAP Test Protocols

CSI’s commitment is steered also to the attendance to the technical working party which objective is to decide the safety performance requirement for the future vehicles developing active safety protocols (ADAS - Advance Driver Assistance Systems).

CSI took part to the development and application of the test procedures for the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) C2C, AEB VRU Pedestrian and Cyclist systems and Lateral support. CSI is also working on the development of the future connectivity systems (V2x) and autonomous driving technologies.

Our equipment

CSI has high-tech equipment to objectivize the performance and the test executions.

CSI boasts the following equipment:

  • 3 complete set of “Driving Robot”
  • 3 x Oxford IMU
  • 2 communication system C2C
  • Target 2D EVT
  • Target 2D NHTSA
  • Target 3D GVT
  • Dummy 4a for AEB VRU tests
  • Humanetics/DSD UFO

Furthermore, upon clients’ request, CSI can manage complex preparation, the acquisition and the data analysis, both from the vehicle and from external instruments (“black box approach”).

Our tracks

CSI with more than 5 km of tracks can offer the right facility for the test performance requested; furthermore can offer testing services on external proving ground with which there is a strong collaboration.
