CSI: Testing, Inspection and Certification Services

CSI is a European center of excellence for testing and certification of material, products, managing system and business compliance. With a team of 400 experts including engineers, physics, microbiologist trained from applied research in partnership with the University and European Research, it is known to be a technology hub: quality, safety and sustainability are the focal point of the business.

The History of CSI

CSI founding dates back to mid-nineties when the Applied Research Center of Ferruzzi-Montedison group was acquired by IMQ S.p.A., wholly-owned subsidiary.

Working in the chemical sector at first, over the years CSI S.p.a. has extended its activity of test laboratory and certification body in sectors that need a large investment and a specialized know-how.

CSI S.p.A. Today

Today CSI is a company of IMQ Group, the holding of the IMQ Group, among the leading international players in conformity assessment, testing and certification. At an international level, CSI operates through its own subsidiary in Germany and has established itself as a technological hub of reference, particularly for the Food, Packaging, Construction and Automotive sectors. CSI is also one of only seven laboratories in the Euro NCAP network, contributing for over 30 years to vehicle safety assessments for the EU market.

The BU Conformity Assessment of CSI offers certification, inspection, testing and training services specific for the Automotive Sector. The cyber security in the automotive field impacts the protection of all the important elements in the vehicle from the treats to the IT safety: a cyber security assessment is required to analyse all the dangers and evaluate risks linked to the exposure to internet of the connected-car.
