The CSI laboratory for electric and hybrid vehicle approval provides advanced services for the characterization of traction batteries and energy storage systems, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and highly skilled personnel.

All activities comply with key international standards (including ISO 12405 and SAE J2464) as well as OEM specifications, ensuring performance, safety, and reliability.

The laboratory performs battery safety and performance testing, including:

  • vibration and mechanical stress tests
  • thermal stability testing
  • corrosion testing
  • EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing

Testing activities are supported by advanced systems such as the Digatron EVT battery tester, ensuring accurate analysis throughout development and validation phases.

The CAE service of CSI provides a full support to customers during all the vehicle development phases, from the Concept to the Homogolation/Self-Certification. CSI, known internationally as Euro NCAP laboratory and as a competence hub, with high experienced know-how and skills in the automotive field, offers its experience in the management of turn-key projects with a team of professionals assigned to the project.
