CSI is a Green NCAP laboratory and took part to the test protocol development.
Born as a spin-off of Euro NCAP, Green NCAp is an independent initiative that promotes the development of clean cars, efficient from the energetic point of view and environmentally friendly.
It aims to get better air quality that we breathe, to optimize our resources used for the passenger transport and to reduce the global warming.
The best standard is given to a car that maximize the reduction of its polluted substances and greenhouse gases and, at the same time, uses minimal consumption of fossil fuel and/or with the best energetic efficiency in real conditions during the life cycle.
The Green NCAP test protocol is based on roller test bench and on road with PEMS portable measurement device (Portable Emissions Measurement Systems).
The overall evaluation is defined with minimum stars between the Free Air indication and the Energetic efficiency indicator.
